About The School:
The Islamic Association School in Finland was established to provide
educational services to Muslims residing in Finland, catering to various
groups and ages. The school aims to teach the Holy Quran, the Arabic
language, and the principles of Islam according to a moderate, balanced
approach that strengthens the sense of belonging to Islam and promotes
a culture of love and peace through raising awareness of the noble Islamic
principles.
The school has gone through several phases, but a modern and advanced system
was launched at the beginning of the 2021-2022 academic year, introducing
a new registration system and modern teaching methods.
The school adopts contemporary scientific curricula that suit the students’
realities, and the teaching is conducted by competent and experienced
teachers who fulfill the school’s noble mission with quality and precision.
This approach enhances the students’ skills in reading and writing in Arabic
and equips them with the ability to recite the Holy Quran and understand its
meanings.
The school offers its services to all Muslims residing in Finland,
whether Finnish or from immigrant communities, across various ages.
It particularly focuses on younger age groups—school-aged children—because
they are the most numerous and are considered the future’s foundation.
School Sections:
1- Basic School (for school-aged children 7-17 years old):
The Holy Qur’an, the Arabic language, and Islamic culture are taught in
the full academic year system from the beginning of fall to the end of
spring of the following year, and vacations coincide with the general
system of Finnish public schools.
Study Methods:
1. Dual Study System:
Lessons are held both in the school and online. Arabic is taught
in the school on Saturdays, while the Quran is taught online on Sundays.
2. Remote Study System:
The school uniquely offers this service compared to other Quran and Arabic
language schools in Finland. This allows the children of Muslims living in
distant cities and remote villages, where there isn’t a large Muslim
community to conduct lessons, to benefit.

2- Khairukum Program for Quran Teaching:
This program aims to teach and help memorize the Quran for adults through specialized memorization circles for women and others for men. The sessions are held once a week and include Tajweed (Quranic pronunciation rules), memorization, and contemplation.

3- Arabic Language Courses for Non-Native Speakers:
These courses aim to teach students reading and writing skills
in Arabic up to the intermediate level (B1) and to learn the principles
of Tajweed to help them read the Quran correctly and understand its
meanings.
These courses target new Muslims, the second generation of immigrants,
and interested students and researchers who are non-native speakers of
Arabic.
